| What is Micropigmentation (Permanent
Cosmetics) Permanent Cosmetics is a 4,000 year old process
that has been brought into vogue the past 10 years.
Permanent Cosmetics is the permanent application of pigment into
the skin (also known as tattooing) for eyebrows, eyeliner, lip
liner, complete lip shape reconstruction, nipple areolae (after
reconstructive surgery of mestectomy patients), and scar
camouflage for hypo and hyperpigmented scars. In ancient
times, this process could only be afforded by the elite and very
wealthy. Today, technology and new innovative processes have
made the price affordable for everyone. What is the
difference between the machine method and the SofTap method?
The machine method is an electrical device that uses a
reciprocating needle action (like sewing machine) to implant the
desired color into the lower dermal layer of the skin, creating
unneccesary trauma. Safety as well as accuracy and control
are questionable around the areas of the eyes and lip liner. The
SofTap hand method is a non-electrical device about the size of a
hand writing pen, which gently lifts the skin, depositing color
into the upper dermal layer, resulting in less trauma, virtually
no pain, faster healing time, complete accuracy and control, and
most important of all, the results are the most natural looking.
The SofTap colors have earned their excellent reputation because
they look so natural. They are thick, rich, creamy and
hypo-allergenic which allows complete control in color selection.
Many Beyond Beauty clients who have had the SofTap colors used on
them, said that they looked so natural, friends and family were
surprised to learn that it was permanent makeup.
